Have questions?

We highly recommend subscribing watching the FREE Areas + Rentals training!

This training answers a lot of questions and goes over the procedure of renting in Costa Rica.

What do I do if I find a rental I want to move forward on ?

When you have found a rental you’d like more information about or to move forward on, simply contact us at [email protected] and give us the link to the rental that you’re interested in. Our team will contact the owners immediately to check on your dates of interest and get back to you with the owners direct contact information.

What is considered long term ?

We would consider any stay over one month as being long term. But please note, some owners may prefer at least 3 months, 6 months, or even 1 year commitment.

How to move forward in securing your rental ?

This procedure typically depends on the owners. We would suggest that you request a rental agreement before exchanging any money. It is customary that you would provide the owner with a deposit in order to secure the rental for your term. If you need help navigating this process with an owner, check out our relocation package! Our clients get free access to this database and our personalized assistance in communicating with owners and the next steps for securing their rental.

What is usually requested by the owner?

Owners typically only request the first month rent and a deposit equal to the rent price. If there is an owner asking for last month’s rent, you may be able to negotiate this as this is not very common. The owner should also request your passport or ID information in order to create the rental agreement.

Are utilities ever included ?

This will completely depend on the home owner. Typically electricity is not included. The typical utilities for a home will be electricity, water, and internet. Typically owners pay for the gardener and pool maintenance.
